Had a lovely little jolly to Sofia in Bulgaria with a friend.
We deliberately decided not to plan anything and just see where the days took us - an approach that I think (mostly) paid off excellently. Here’s a very quick round-up that you didn’t ask for:
Would recommend: the Free Sofia Tour, the Red Flat, the Rakia Museum, the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, pretty much all of the food and drink we had and the places we had it (but a special mention in particular to Hadjidraganov’s Cellars).
Would not recommend: the nightclub I fear we may now be banned from. Any of my friends who ever stumble upon this blog are welcome to ask me for the (very funny) details - I promise we weren’t just “those” British tourists.
Pictured: us sampling rakia yesterday, in stunning unfocusedness. Good photos were clearly not a priority for me.
